C&B Machinery Expands the Models and Features Available on Its Line of CBV Series Clamp Bore Grinders.

C&B Machinery Expands the Models and Features Available on Its Line of CBV Series Clamp Bore Grinders.

C&B Machinery’s lineup of Vertical Clamp Bore micro-finishing grinders has been expanded yet again! C&B continues to strive to be an industry leader in meeting customers’ ever-growing needs for flexibility, throughput volumes, integration with plant automation, and maximizing perishable tooling life.

Our single spindle models can be an economical choice for lower volumes and lower tooling costs.  Our double spindle models work well for applications where different work holding at each station has advantages and volumes are a bit higher.  To the other extreme, our rotary index models can offer tooling flexibility and the very highest level of throughput.

We now offer a higher-speed grinding spindle option to maximize efficiency for customers using CBN grinding wheels vs. conventional free-cutting, self-dressing vitrified wheels.

The CBV Series offers multiple part handling options including operator hand load/unload, robotics integration (Fanuc Authorized Integrator), gantry load/unload with part flipping capabilities, and in-process gauging with load pre-check for stock and runout.  The gauge fixture is designed for quick adjustments with no tools required. Software is designed for control of stock removal on each side and part orientation entering or exiting the cell. Error proofing for part load and part type can also be designed into this system.

New Product: Clamp Bore Microfinishing Machine

C&B Machinery has received multiple orders for its latest generation Model CBV-3 Clamp Bore microfinishing machine. The automotive industry is striving to reduce transmission gear noise in electric vehicles; to do this the internal components must be more precise than ever. C&B Machinery’s new Clamp Bore disc grinders were specifically selected for their high precision, high performance, quality, dependability, and maintainability.

C&B Machinery’s new design provides for tighter control of face to bore perpendicularity and improved lead variation that the industry requires. As well as other industry leading benefits such as controlled stock removal on both symmetrical and non-symmetrical components, tighter face to bore perpendicularity, reduced footprint and overall reduced operating cost over traditional methods.

The new machine processes the face of each gear in an independent cycle while the component is located and clamped using the ID as the datum. With multiple stations, the gear faces are sequentially ground to maintain a high throughput. C&B Machinery’s new clamp bore disc grinding machines are available in a variety of models and tooling configurations. This allows us to meet the customers’ requirements pertaining to throughput and the flow of parts through in-plant automation.
